Hudson Peters Commercial Announced as Presenting Sponsor of Pop Fizz Clink! – A WiNGS Fiesta

Hudson Peters Commercial, a leading commercial real estate firm, will serve as the Presenting Sponsor of Pop Fizz Clink! – A WiNGS Fiesta. Held May 5, 2023, at the Thompson Dallas. The annual event will feature exciting entertainment, fiesta-inspired drinks and brunch bites, interactive goodie stations, and stories of the inspirational women of WiNGS.

"As Presenting Sponsor of Pop Fizz Clink – A WiNGS Fiesta, Hudson Peters is proud to support WiNGS and its crucial mission of empowering women and families in North Texas," said Michelle Hudson, Principal at Hudson Peters Commercial. "We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to succeed and thrive, and WiNGS’ Economic Advancement program and Nurse-Family Partnership help women move their families out of poverty and into a brighter future."

WiNGS also announced that former board chair and longtime supporter, Debbie Dennis, will receive the 2023 Ebby Empowering Women Award. The annual award recognizes women who carry forward Ebby Halliday's legacy of empowering women and making positive impacts on the Dallas community.

“Ebby was a trailblazer who set the course for all of us in our own careers, which is why I am deeply honored to be selected as the recipient of the 2023 Ebby Empowering Women Award,” said Debbie. “She exemplified what WiNGS is all about – helping other women succeed. WiNGS matches first-time mothers with a nurse who supports them throughout their entire pregnancy and through the first two years of the child’s life – a crucial time of development for children. We connect that with financial coaching to help women manage their resources and money to save and accomplish long-term goals. When a mother is successful, the family is successful.”

Debbie is a Senior Vice President and the Chief Customer Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer at Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC. She has been with Oncor and its former affiliated companies for more than 40 years with several different leadership roles. Currently, she shapes the strategic direction of Oncor’s community involvement and volunteer initiatives, drawing upon her years of experience with Oncor to ensure that these efforts align with the company’s philanthropic and business goals. Debbie joined the Board of Directors of WiNGS (formerly the YWCA), serving for several years as a member and as chair. She now serves on the organization’s Advisory Board, working alongside other members to provide strategic counsel and support to WiNGS’ leadership team. In addition to serving on other nonprofit boards, Debbie is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and is a graduate of Leadership America, Leadership Texas and Leadership Dallas.

"We are thrilled to honor Debbie with the Ebby Empowering Women Award," said Kate Rose Marquez, CEO of WiNGS. "Debbie's leadership throughout her career, philanthropy and dedication to serving WiNGS’ mission have made a significant impact on our organization and the community we serve. We are grateful for her unwavering commitment to empowering women and helping them achieve their full potential."

About WiNGS

Founded in 1908 as the YWCA of Dallas, WiNGS has a 115-year history of empowering women, fighting poverty, and impacting generations. WiNGS provides free and vital services, helping women transition successfully during periods of change, including first-time pregnancies and economic and financial uncertainty through two primary programs: Economic Advancement (EA) and Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP). Traditionally, 92 percent of WiNGS clients (across all programs) are women of color and 76 percent of clients earn less than $38,000 a year. WiNGS works specifically with women of color, as they are disproportionately impacted in quality-of-life indicators such as health, earnings, and long-term financial stability.
