Diana's School of Yoga is featuring Yin Yoga each Monday for the month of June. Yin Yoga is a class that utilizes a series passive long held Yoga postures for 3 to 5 minutes usually. The holding of the postures releases tension and invigorates the connective issues of the body. A Yin yoga class usually consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body - the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues.
